I really like the way these two pieces (Torso I and Torso II) are mounted. Torso I, a Florida Red Cedar, reminds me of marble torso pieces that were mounted in a museum in Ephesus, Turkey. The magnificent graining of the wood is caused by the stresses caused by the wind torquing the base of the tree. The breasts may be a little over the top, but the graining is spectacular. This Red Cedar came from the panhandle region of the the gulf coast.
