This piece tells the story of two old friends who are totally open and transparent with each other. The base is ambrosia maple, a spectacular piece of wood. The "old" friends is shown by the markings on the wood, and the "transparent" aspect is shown by the piercings and voids in the wood. Don't be confused by the photo. This is a large piece and needs some space to display. I think the wood is oak and the piece is heavy. To me the piece has a look of two robed, seated folks sharing a secret. h. 13 w. 25 d. 11 $1,480
