Mates - from the Courtship
​& Mating Series


"I'm so glad we found each other. You're just
​what I've been searching for." One of my favorite books, Last of the Curlews by Fred Bodsworth, about a practically extinct bird's search for a mate was my inspiration for this piece. 


Driftwood species is unknown, but I liked the feather-like graining on the head and neck areas.
